Heat Transfer Studies on Solar Parabolic trough Collector Using Corrugated Tube Receiver with Conical Strip Inserts

چکیده

The heat transfer characteristics of the working fluid passing through absorber a solar parabolic trough collector (SPTC) can be enhanced by creation turbulence effect. Therefore, novel idea was implemented introducing corrugated tube (CT) instead plain in collector. enhancement improved further use conical strip inserts inside SPTC. A receiver with pitch 8 mm and corrugation height 2 used three different pitches (pitch pi = 20 mm, 30 50 mm) for analysis thermal performance Initially, experiments were conducted at mass flow rates. convective rate increased all configurations inserts. SPTC good combination (pc hc insert I3 (pi= mm). experimental results showed that maximum achieved Nu value, friction factor, instantaneous efficiency CT-I3 177%, 38%, 26.92% 9% compared to under same conditions.
